Blog Post #8

During the break I went to my pediatrician for my physical and while I was there I asked her about concussions. In what sports do most kids come in with concussions? And when do most kids come into the office with concussions? She told me that most kids come into the office with concussions from football and the time that they come in is during football season, in the fall.

I still don’t know if I want to make my own brochure about concussions or use one that the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) provides. I poked around on their website over break and I have found full sized concussion posters and wallet sized concussion cards for coaches. All of these available in PDF form. It will most likely be easier to print one out that the CDC provides. People are more likely to trust something with CDC labeled across it than something with no labeling at all.
